Civita Park
7960 Civita Blvd, San Diego, CA 92108
Civita Park is an incredible hidden gem in San Diego that features playgrounds and a splash pad. This park includes games, ping pong, a giant chess board, tables for chess and checkers, areas with outdoor living rooms, and picnic areas with barbecues. There is also a walking and running trail that goes around the park, as well as basketball courts. The playground itself includes climbing structures, baby swings, group swings, a tot lot, small slides, big slides, spinners, sand, and wheelchair accessibility.
Tecolote Shores North
1344 E Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, CA 92109
Tecolote Shores North in Mission Bay is one of the newest playgrounds and fitness area located right on the bay in San Diego. This beautiful park is a great place to host parties and events. The playground, which opened in 2022, includes sand, monkey bars, rubber flooring, slides of all sizes, swings, and a tot lot. There are also picnic tables for families that want to enjoy an outdoor meal.
Maruta Gardner Playground
1100 W Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, CA 92109
The Maruta Gardner Playground at Bonita Cove Park is an amazing place to visit. It has several fantastic features, including a playground, tot lot, baby swings, ADA swings, group swings, tandem swings, slides of all sizes, roller slides, seesaws, sand, rubber flooring, spinners, and a climbing structure. The park also has a large grassy area to play or have a picnic, bike areas, and volleyball courts.
Mast Park
9125 Carlton Hills Blvd, Santee, CA 92071
Mast Park re-opened in San Diego in 2020. While closed, it transformed to include an expanded dog park, awesome playgrounds, fitness equipment, and disc golf. The playground includes a tot lot, baby swings, regular swings (and ADA swings), a climbing structure, monkey bars, a climbing wall, spinners, shaded areas, and slides.
Olympus Park
701 Olympus Street, Encinitas, CA 92024
Olympus Park opened in 2021 and is an amazing park for families. There is a grassy hill, a reflexology path, a half court basketball court, a skatepark, and dog parks. The playground includes bark, rubber ground, slides, swings, spinners, climbing rocks, a playhouse, and climbing structures. Families can enjoy letting their kids “sled” down the large grassy area!
